It merges the functionality of a rack interface unit like the3500/20 RIMwith advanced data acquisition capabilities comparable to TDXnet-class processors.

Installed in Slot 1 beside the rack power supplies, the3500/22Mcommunicates directly with M-series monitoring modules such as3500/40Mand3500/42M. It continuously acquires both steady-state parameters and transient waveform data, ensuring comprehensive machine condition visibility across operating conditions.

The module transmits collected diagnostic information via Ethernet, USB, or fiber-optic links to host software platforms. While not part of the safety protection loop, it plays a critical role in diagnostics, high-resolution data capture, and predictive maintenance support across industrial systems.
