The Emerson PR6424/013-110 CON021 16mm Eddy Current Sensor is a high-precision non-contact displacement sensor designed for critical turbomachinery monitoring applications. It is widely used in steam turbines, gas turbines, hydro turbines, compressors, pumps, and fans to monitor shaft vibration, displacement, position, eccentricity, and speed/key signals.
Engineered for harsh industrial environments, the sensor features a stainless steel sleeve, PTFE armored cable, and excellent resistance to temperature, vibration, and pressure. It delivers stable and accurate measurement performance with 4 V/mm sensitivity, ≤ ±1.5% linearity, and long-term drift below 0.3%.
The Emerson PR6424/013-110 CON021 Eddy Current Sensor supports ferromagnetic steel targets and operates reliably at shaft surface speeds up to 2,500 m/s. With an operating temperature range of -35°C to 150°C and API 670-compliant temperature stability, it is ideal for continuous condition monitoring and predictive maintenance systems in demanding industrial facilities.
Mechanical Configuration
The sensor features an M18x1.5 threaded sleeve, 82.5 mm total length, armored PTFE cable, and LEMO connector for secure and reliable industrial installation. Its 5 m cable supports flexible equipment integration.
Electrical Configuration
The sensor uses non-contact eddy current technology with 4 V/mm sensitivity and ≤ ±1.5% linearity for accurate shaft displacement and vibration monitoring. It operates with an approximate 2.7 mm nominal air gap.
Environmental Configuration
Designed for harsh industrial environments, the sensor operates from -35°C to 150°C and withstands pressure up to 10,000 hPa and vibration levels of 5g @ 60Hz.
System Integration Configuration
The sensor integrates with turbomachinery monitoring and protection systems for real-time measurement of shaft displacement, eccentricity, vibration, and speed/key signals.
Programming & Monitoring Functions
The sensor supports predictive maintenance and continuous condition monitoring by providing stable real-time data for detecting imbalance, misalignment, and other rotating machinery faults.
