The T8153C is a Trusted Communication Interface Adapter that mounts directly behind the T8153C‑matched Communication Interface Module inside the T8100 chassis. This T8153C adapter translates internal TMR signals into standard Ethernet, RS485, and RS232 ports. With SIL 3 certification and conformal coating, the T8153C enables safe, reliable connectivity between Trusted safety controllers and external DCS, SCADA, or peer systems.

The T8153C serves as the physical‑layer interface between the Trusted TMR Communication Interface Module and external networks. It connects via SK1 to the rear of the T8151, routing signals to its eight external ports. Ethernet ports support 10/100BaseT for TCP/IP links; RS485 ports offer multi‑drop or point‑to‑point fieldbus with link‑selectable termination to avoid reflections; RS232 ports provide local programming and diagnostics. Signal grounds must be connected for RS485 reliability. The adapter does no protocol conversion – the Communication Module handles that – but ensures robust physical connectivity, with conformal coating protecting against industrial stresses.
