Product Overview

Brand: Bently Nevada

Series: 3300 XL 8 mm Proximity Transducer System

Model: 330180-X1-05 MOD:145347-05

Official description: 3300 XL Proximitor Sensor

Official source: Baker Hughes Bently Nevada datasheet 141194 Rev. AM.

Configuration notice: The official ordering table identifies 330180-AA-BB. The supplied X1 option and MOD 145347-05 require confirmation from the nameplate or original order record.

Functions and Applications

The Proximitor Sensor accepts one compatible non-contacting 3300-series 5 mm or 3300 XL 8 mm proximity probe with its extension cable and conditions the signal for the monitoring system.

The complete transducer system is used for static position and dynamic vibration measurements on fluid-film bearing machines, including radial vibration, axial position, Keyphasor and speed applications. Final application suitability is subject to verification.

Data

7.87 V/mm (200 mV/mil); tolerance depends on confirmed system-length option
Recommended radial gap
-9 Vdc, approximately 1.27 mm (50 mils)
Frequency response
0 to 10 kHz, +0/-3 dB, with up to 305 m of field wiring
Supply requirement
-17.5 to -26 Vdc, 12 mA maximum for the stated non-incendive installation; -23 to -26 Vdc with barriers
Output resistance
50 ohm
Field wiring
0.2 to 1.5 mm² (16 to 24 AWG); 3-conductor shielded triad recommended; maximum 305 m

Build

Interfaces and Construction

Probe connection: Corrosion-resistant gold-plated ClickLoc connection for the compatible probe and extension-cable system.

Field terminals: SpringLoc terminal strips support robust wiring without screw-type clamping mechanisms.

Mounting: The 3300 XL Proximitor Sensor platform supports high-density DIN-rail installation and traditional panel mounting. The exact mounting supplied by X1 is subject to verification.

Isolation: The mounting base provides electrical isolation, eliminating the need for a separate isolator plate.

Environment

Protection and Environment
Sensor operating temperature
-52°C to +100°C (-62°F to +212°F)
Sensor storage temperature
-52°C to +105°C (-62°F to +221°F)
RFI/EMI design
Improved immunity supports CE-compliant installation without special shielded conduit or metallic housing
Compliance listed in official datasheet
FCC Part 15, EMC Directive 2014/30/EU, RoHS Directive 2011/65/EU and China RoHS
Approval code 05
CSA, ATEX and IECEx approvals are identified by the official ordering table; applicable certificates must be confirmed for the supplied unit
Enclosure rating
Subject to verification; the Proximitor Sensor is normally installed in a suitable housing or panel

Setup

Installation and Selection
  1. Confirm the complete 330180 option code, especially X1, and the MOD 145347-05 documentation.
  2. Match the probe length plus extension-cable length to the confirmed Proximitor Sensor system length.
  3. Use a compatible 3300 XL 8 mm or supported 3300-series 5 mm probe and extension cable; do not assume compatibility from connector appearance alone.
  4. Confirm the target material. Published system performance is based on an AISI 4140 steel target unless another calibration is specified.
  5. Apply the wiring, shielding, grounding and hazardous-area instructions from the official manual and approved installation drawing.
  6. For radial vibration setup, use the published -9 Vdc center-gap reference only after confirming the complete system configuration.

Check

Verification Checklist
  • Confirm the exact nameplate part number and whether X1 represents the required system-length and mounting option.
  • Confirm MOD 145347-05 scope and supporting factory documentation.
  • Confirm agency approval markings and the required hazardous-area installation documents.
  • Confirm compatible probe, extension-cable and monitor part numbers.
  • Confirm target material, system length, mounting method and field-wiring arrangement.
  • Request current unit and nameplate photographs before quotation.
  • Confirm condition, serial number, test scope, traceability documents and supplied accessories.
